Preview: Capitals Vs Flyers March 22, 2012

Tonight DC’s best hope travels to Filthadelphia, Shitsylvania to play the Flyers. The Caps need to win this game in regulation to split the season series and cut the Florida Pants division lead to 3 points. Meanwhile, Nick Backstrom and Tomas Vokoun are still sidelined with with a concussion and groin injury, disrespectfully. Although, both of them were at practice today at Kettler. “I don’t want to come back until game 1 of the playoffs, my head hurts or something” , backstrom told ace reporter, Jack Hussar. “Yeah my balls injury is still bothering me from when Carlson kicked me. I still get laid though and probably will during tonight’s game. I’m going to be just fine” Vokoun said. Dale Hunter has been quiet about who will start in net tonight, but most assume it will be below average goaltender, Braden Holtby. “As a below average goaler you never want to be in those pressure situations and this time of year it’s a playoff race,” Holtby said. “It was nice to get back into and back into it with the D core here and feel it out a bit. If I get another chance to start, then I’ll feel a lot less comfortable.”

  • Ilya Bryzgalov will give up humongous big goals late in the third period.
  • Caps will rally from an early 3-1 deficit.
  • Ovechkin, Johannsen, Chimera, and Laich will score at least one goal each.
  • Braden Holtby will get off to a bad start but settle down for a decent outing.
  • Caps will rally from a 3-1 deficit to win 5-3 on the road, and split the season series with Filthy.
  1. No trackbacks yet.
